BARANGAY CLEARANCE APPLICATION

To apply for a barangay clearance, visit your local barangay hall, submit the required documents, and pay a small fee.

Step-by-Step Guide to Applying for Barangay Clearance

1. Visit the Barangay Hall: Go to the barangay hall where you reside. Make sure to visit during office hours, typically Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2. Prepare Required Documents: Bring the necessary documents, which may include:

    a) An updated Community Tax Certificate (CTC) or Cedula.

    b)  A valid ID.

    c) State your purpose for applying for Brgy Clearance

3. Pay the Processing Fee: After your documents are verified, proceed to pay the barangay clearance fee, which usually costs less than PHP 100. The fee may vary depending on the barangay.

4. Receive Your Barangay Clearance: Once the payment is processed and your name is cleared of any negative records, the barangay captain or an authorised officer will sign your barangay clearance. You will typically receive the document on the same day.

5. Check the Details: Ensure that your name is spelt correctly and that the purpose of the clearance is accurately stated on the document. It should also bear the official seal of the barangay.

Important Notes

In-Person Requirement: Currently, barangay clearances cannot be applied for online; you must visit the barangay hall in person.

Avoid Fixers: Do not engage with fixers who may offer to expedite the process for a fee, as this practice is illegal.

By following these steps, you can successfully apply for a barangay clearance, which is often required for employment, business permits, and various government transactions.
